P & M functions in the district as the nodal agency for maintaining appropriate database required for the district for making various planning exercises and developing, organizing and giving training to the heads of the institutions and educational officers in the district and providing assistance to make institutional plans for all educational institutions including DIET in the district.
Functions
- To function as the agency for keeping database required for various planning exercises in the district.
- To work as a research centre for giving policy advice to educational planning exercises.
- To provide technical assistance to educational authorities in
a. School mapping
b. Micro planning for Universal Elementary Education (UEE)
c. Formation of activities for school complexes and
d. Institutional evaluation. - To orient the community leaders, members in Local Self Government (LSG) institutions, members in Village Education Committee (VEC), youths, and voluntary educational workers.
- To work as an agency for designing and implementing appropriate programmes for educational officers and functionaries in the district.
- To function as a centre for evaluating various educational programmes implemented in the district especially with the objectives to achieve UEE, quality enhancements etc.
- To act as nodal branch for preparing institutional plans and annual self-evaluation reports for the DIET.
